Suomen Bretonikerho ry. SBK - CEB Finland

The Club

Suomen bretonikerho ry-Club de l'Epagneul Breton Finland (SBK-CEB) is a national club founded in 1995. The official rules have been accepted by the club in Tampere June 17th 2000. The aim of the club is to make the breed more known in Finland and maintain the breed's fine qualities as a pointing dog. The breed has continually increased its popularity among the hunters as an eager and persistent hunter companion. Despite its small size (the smallest pointing dog) brittany is well suited for any kind of bird hunting

SBK-CEB has yearly gatherings for the persons interested in this particular breed. These weekends include useful information in form of conversations among the other dog owners. Sharing own hunting experiences with others is probably the best way to get new information and give something in return.

In addition to the annual gatherings the members are sent membership letters couple of times a year. The amount of members is increasingly growing (2004 about 120 persons). Membership fee per year is 10 € (2004).

The breed club of breton is Saksanseisojakerho ry and they belong to FCI's breed group 7, pointing dogs. The breeding is done together with Saksanseisojakerho ry (the German pointing dog club).
